Scientist - VICTR
We are seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager/Data Scientist/Data Analyst with the training and curiosity to build the resources necessary to enable big data discoveries and to be responsible for coordinating activities of the project team(s) under occasional guidance. Work closely with medical research informatics faculty and staff to expand and create innovative big data resources to enable data-driven translational science. Identify appropriate resources needed and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of project(s). Coordinate the activities of the team(s) by becoming familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Implement small development projects or components of large projects. Ability to work with users, as well as solve medium to complex problems.
Provides support to leadership, team members and customers through data science, project management and communications.
Coordinates and oversees all phases of the project.
Manages Project Issues
Project planning and ensures timely completion of tasks in line with project objectives.

In collaboration with the VUMC Human Research Protections Program (HRPP), the Translational Research Navigator II assists with the optimal application of the Federal, State, and local laws, guidance documents, VUMC Institutional policies, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures while meeting the objectives of the VUMC research community. Consults on complex research and regulatory issues in conjunction with the team(s) to identify solutions and develop improvement processes. The TRN II researches topics of departmental, institutional or strategic importance.
