Transplant Hepatologist Academic Position – Westchester Medical Center
The Division of Transplant at New York Medical College-Westchester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible hepatologist with transplant expertise to join our group of transplant hepatologists. Qualified candidates will provide transplant services to patients with end stage liver disease, focusing on potential liver transplant recipients, pre-transplant workup and evaluation, providing post-transplantation care, and managing immunosuppression. The candidate will participate in patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, hepatitis C management, and house staff teaching.
The successful candidate will be board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and have completed a certified Hepatology Transplant Fellowship or have the experience to qualify under the UNOS clinical experience pathway. We provide hepatology consultative services, ICU care, acute and chronic liver services in a private practice and clinic setting. We have a vibrant, growing liver transplant program. Our hepatologists are directly involved in all phases of transplant care and work closely with our transplant surgeons in a collaborative team atmosphere. Participation and productivity in research is expected.
