The Department of Pediatrics in Stony Brook Children’s Hospital seeks faculty for the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at either the Assistant or Associate Professor Level.
To qualify for an appointment as Associate Professor the candidate must meet the School of Medicine’s criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
Requirements include: MD/DO degree, Board Certified in Pediatrics, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, eligible for medical licensure in New York State. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Graduate Medical Education.
Responsibilities include development of research programs, teaching and participation in patient care programs appropriate to a major university. Opportunities and excellent resources for research also exist.
This is a faculty academic position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Individuals will be selected on the basis of their training, clinical experience, research potential and their commitment to teaching. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with qualifications. Excellent resources for research and start-up funds are available. The position will be full time, faculty, academic (Assistant or Associate Professor).
