Salary Range: $7,725 - $19,183.33 Monthly

This role will provide independent advanced level nurse practitioner clinical expertise to patients and their families on an on-going basis and oversee other nurse practitioners. This includes managing scheduling, time off requests and organizational oversight of the work unit to ensure the competence and qualifications of direct reports. Management of the NP team will be a collaborative effort with the NP manager with contribution and recommendations for hiring, on-boarding and counseling. NP’s are expected to act as an expert resource person for health care providers including nurses, residents and other ancillary staff.
Acts as an expert resource person for health care providers, orients/precepts new nurse practitioners (NP’s) to role responsibilities of the service, establishes standardized procedures and protocols for NP practice, conducts research and teaching programs. Assists in establishing educational opportunities for nurse practitioners. Acts as a liaison for NP supported services and PCS Director of Advanced Practice. Provides practice supervision for all NP II FTE assigned. Acts in the absence of the program manager. Provides support for the NP direct reports.
Provides direct patient care to a diversified patient population. Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
