We are recruiting for a dynamic physician leader who can serve as both the Primary Care Sports Medicine Program Director and as the Division Chief/Team Physician for the Orlando City and Orlando Pride professional soccer clubs. In addition, this role will collaborate with the orthopedic program to provide both general medical and musculoskeletal care to patients at our outpatient practice in downtown Orlando.
We are looking for a Program Director who will be passionately involved in our ACGME accredited residency and fellowship programs. This includes building the fellowship program schedule, participating in research and serving as a hands-on mentor. Our primary care sports medicine fellowship currently consists of 3 fellowship trained/BC primary care sports medicine physicians and 1 fellow. Our curriculum focuses on adult and pediatric outpatient musculoskeletal care, sports event coverage, sports ultrasound and concussion care. We also have 10 fellowship trained/BC orthopedic sports medicine faculty overseeing 22 orthopedic residents and 1 orthopedic sports medicine fellow.
As the Division Chief/Team Physician for Orlando City and Pride, this role will be responsible for working collaboratively with the soccer club leadership, sports medicine staff and coaches to ensure that the athletes are receiving the highest level of care to achieve optimal performance on and off the field.
We are looking for an exceptional physician with experience in PRP, ultrasound guided injections, concussion management and diagnostic ultrasounds. The ideal candidate will have MLS and/or professional sports coverage experience. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in primary care sports medicine and completion of, or eligibility to sit for, the sports medicine Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) examination, is required.
