Certified Nurse Midwife

The Centra Medical Group Women's Center is expanding to meet the needs of our community!  CMG is seeking to add a Certified Nurse-Midwife to our CNM-governed practice located in central Virginia. The CMG Women's Center is a highly successful hospital-owned full-scope midwifery practice serving a diverse population. Services include reproductive and wellness care for women and non-binary individuals, including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. Births are attended at Centra's Virginia Baptist Hospital, a Baby-Friendly, Magnet Certified facility with supportive in-house consulting physicians, anesthesia and a Level II NICU.  Our new expansion includes laborist services at the Magnet Certified Southside Community Hospital, our sister hospital in Farmville, VA.

Lynchburg, with a population of 85,000, is a great safe place to raise a family. Tons of outdoor activities to enjoy that include hiking, biking, mountain bike trails, camping, boating, fishing & canoeing. Hike the beautiful Sharp Top Mountain or Appalachian Trail or Bike on the Blackwater Creek Trail or Percival’s Island in the heart of the city. The Lynchburg Academy Center of the Arts offers some of America’s finest performing artists. Enjoy an evening minor league baseball game with our Lynchburg Hillcats. Children will enjoy outdoor summer movies at the park, county fairs, apple orchards, pumpkin patches and picking blueberries & strawberries. They will love Amazement Square, an inactive hands-on children’s museum in downtown Lynchburg. Beautiful Smith Mountain Lake is also nearby.
