Alaska is known as the land of the midnight sun as we bask in 19.5 hours of daylight on summer solstice. Our summer temperatures reach into the mid to upper 70’s and the landscape transforms into green trees and flower blossoms. On winter solstice, we enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets over beautiful snowcapped mountains and darkness brings the possibility of breathtaking displays of the northern lights. Connected to our campus is hundreds of kilometers of groomed, interconnected cross country ski trails in town are lit at night, by artificial light and the incredible moonlight reflecting off of the snow and these trails are perfect for running and biking in the summer. Anchorage has good public schools, good community, incredible outdoor activity opportunities. In striving to offer the best services for the Alaska Native community, Southcentral Foundation is pleased to offer primary medical care services to Alaska Native and Native American beneficiaries in the Anchorage Service area. M.D. or D.O. degree required. Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska. Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service. Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required. |
