Degree and Area of Specialization:
MD or equivalent, completion of US pediatric residency and relevant fellowship
License or Certificate:
WI medical licensure; BC/BE in pediatrics required
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Completion of US pediatric residency and fellowship programs. Interest in academic medicine, involving teaching to a variety of learners is essential. Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
About the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine
The mission of the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is to maintain excellence in inpatient clinical care and education, and to develop excellence in research. This is achieved by division members who collaborate within an established interdisciplinary team.
Our division provides inpatient pediatric care that is family-centered, culturally competent, and coordinated. Our physician team collaborates with patients, families, nursing, other inpatient medical and surgical specialty colleagues, numerous other members of our multidisciplinary inpatient team and primary care physicians. Our team optimizes communication, participates actively in improving hospital systems, and strives to ensure that American Family Children's Hospital provides the safest and highest quality inpatient care.
The 111-bed American Family Children’s Hospital at UW Health opened in August of 2007 and is the only facility in Madison exclusively devoted to the care and treatment of children. In addition to serving our local community, the hospital receives tertiary referrals from throughout the state and region and is staffed by providers from every subspecialty area.

The Department of Pediatrics is a vibrant academic department comprised of over 185 faculty, and offers a full range of pediatric subspecialty care.
