Associate Program Manager

The Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) seeks an Associate Program Manager who will work on the Hausa Brain Healtt Collaborative - a series of projects focused on improving the health of people with brain disorders among the Hausa-speaking people of Africa with a focus on northern Nigeria. Current active studies include two large NIH-funded five-year projects.
The Associate Program Manager will be responsible for facilitating study team coordination and communication, assisting with data management and reporting, and other research-related and administrative duties as assigned. The position requires excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. The role requires a resourceful individual who can take initiative to gather suitable information and data to address tasks and complete assignments in a timely manner. Although some travel may be required, this position will be based in Nashville, Tennessee USA in the VIGH offices.
Expected responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Minimum requirements include a relevant bachelors-level degree, with excellent writing and communication skills, as well as organizational skills. Superior organizational skills are required. Experience in data management and/or analysis (e.g., SPSS, SAS, STATA, REDCap) is preferred. Fluency in English, spoken and written, is required. Additional language skills, and experience living and/or working in cultures outside of the US is a plus.

The Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) builds capacity through interdisciplinary global health education and training programs , conducts implementation science and research, and provides technical assistance service to government and civil sector organizations in countries supported by the President's Emergency Plan for HIV/AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through an an affiliated organization, Friends in Global Health (FGH) .
