Position Title: National Technical Pediatric Advisor

Location: Maputo, Mozambique
Candidate must have a Medical Degree (MD), with training in Pediatrics, with preference given to those who also have a Master's in Public Health (MPH); must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Pediatric HIV Care & Treatment in a developing country context; must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Lusophone Africa; must possess strong planning and program implementation skills, with preference given to prior experience with PEPFAR funded programs. Fluency in Portuguese and advanced knowledge of English is required. Mozambique experience is preferred.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and its affiliate organization Friends in Global Health (FGH) supports the Mozambican Ministry of Health in the implementation of service, training, and research programs. In FY21 VUMC/FGH programs in Mozambique had an annual budget over $40 million and a team of over 2,300 employees based in multiple provinces across the country.
The National Technical Pediatric Advisor will serve as a clinical expert for FGH and will lead the implementation of Pediatric HIV Care & Treatment strategies within FGH's clinical program.
