A Laboratory in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology is in need of a Lab Manager position:
As part of a recently launched, multi-center CDC program, this particular position will focus on the molecular epidemiology respiratory viral infections, especially in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Efforts will comprise various molecular analyses of human respiratory specimens, in order to better ascertain the dynamics of person-to-person spread. Routine activities will include coordination and banking of such specimens; preparation of microbiology and molecular biology reagents; overseeing the performance of diagnostic instrumentation, and assisting other lab members in the design and execution of experiments.
