EWU offers 135 fields of study, 9 master’s degrees, 12 graduate certificates, 39 graduate programs, 1 educational specialist degree, and 1 applied doctorate to more than 10,000 enrolled students.Job Summary:The School of Psychology, in the College of Professional Programs at Eastern Washington University (EWU), invites applications for one or two Tenure-track Assistant Professor(s) to support the CACREP accredited MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, as well as other School of Psychology needs, to begin mid-September 2022. EWU's School of Psychology is committed to the selection, training, supervision, and professional success of students in our various programs and in the Masters of Science in Counseling degree, in keeping with the high standards established by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The program offers a structured sequence of curricular and applied experiences with an emphasis on closely supervised training experiences both at the University and in the community.Program faculty members have established strong relationships with area community agencies, and students engage in meaningful practica and internship experiences across their time in the program. Thus, counseling training occurs in a learning community that is intentionally focused on both skill development and personal growth of students. In this way, the program fulfills its purpose of preparing diverse, competent, and caring professional counselors to meet the needs of diverse urban and rural communities. The selected candidate will join a committed and enthusiastic Psychology faculty.Summary of Responsibilities: The current position includes primary responsibilities for teaching within the CACREP Accredited MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, with additional support of other Department needs (e.g., undergraduate psychology courses). Teaching modalities will include face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Opportunities for summer teaching, although not required, may be available.
