The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Program at Rush University Medical Center , Chicago, is expanding its Neuropsychology program. We are seeking an Assistant Professor Neuropsychologist to join two full-time Neuropsychologists and twelve full-time Movement Disorders specialists to support our mission focused on Patient Care, Research and Education. Applicants should have experience with neuropsychological evaluation and psychotherapy. The program offers targeted therapies for children, adolescents, and adults with Tourette's syndrome and tic disorders. Neuropsychologists participate in and contribute to weekly or monthly pre-surgical case conferences for deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound candidates, as well as all-discipline team consultation meeting for Huntington's disease clinic. Opportunities for involvement in clinical research and supervision of neuropsychology externs are also available.
Rush University holds several Centers of Excellence designations and is the most stable program in Chicagoland. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. This position will be predominantly clinically focused, with opportunities for research collaboration and educational initiatives.
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-approved training program, have completed a 2-year fellowship program in Neuropsychology, be licensed in the State of Illinois and be Board Certified or eligible in Neuropsychology. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, resident education, clinical medicine and research. Candidates should be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher commensurate with their experience and accomplishments in Rush Medical College. This recruitment is part of a key strategic growth initiative at Rush University Medical Center. The Rush Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Program sees approximately 6000 adults and children per year, with all types of movement disorders. Fellows, students, Psychiatry, and videography are integral parts of the program.
