A laboratory in the Dept. of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant I.
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt has a long and rich history of excellence in teaching, clinical service, and research. Because we are committed to providing the best in patient care, education and research, we are proud of our recent accomplishments:
Assist in mouse colony maintenance.
- Carry out experiments initially under direct supervision, but over time with partial independence in planning, implementation, and interpretation.
- Read and follow established laboratory protocols.
- Assist with general lab maintenance, including but not limited to freezer maintenance, inventory, and ordering of supplies.
- Report data and findings to a direct experimental liaison senior lab person in written reports and verbally, along with possible oral presentations during weekly lab group meetings and regular (every 2-3 wk) progress meetings with the lab head.
