Applications are invited for a full-time faculty in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. The Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center developmental and behavioral
pediatrics division is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, PhDs and therapists serving patients from the 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York. We provide diagnostic and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with the broad range of developmental concerns including ASD, ADD, learning and developmental issues and neonatal follow-up. We partner closely with psychiatry, pediatrics, pediatric specialists and with several local colleges to train interns in SW and psychology. Board eligibility or certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is required.
Albany Medical Center Hospital is a large academic Medical Center in Albany, New York, the state capital. It is a Level I Trauma Center and the regional hub for all adult and pediatric specialties.
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, which houses a 60 bed NICU, 19 bed PICU, and a new pediatric emergency department that opened in 2018, is the site of inpatient care rendered by the division. Albany Medical College is a private medical school, and a nondiscriminatory AA/EOE institution (minorities and women are encouraged to apply). The successful candidate will enjoy many opportunities for teaching house staff and medical students and will be eligible for a faculty appointment in Albany Medical College, rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
