St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Ellis Hospital Psychiatry team located in Schenectady, New York.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected inpatient Psychiatry team. Ellis Hospital is a 150-bed community hospital with inpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatric Units. The Ellis Psychiatry program has been helping people overcome mental illness for more than 50 years and offers specialized services for adults, adolescents, and children. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will provider inpatient coverage for adult patients at the Ellis Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalist, specialists, and community providers. The PNP will collaborate with the Ellis Hospital behavioral health outpatient team as well.

The schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Call rotation: nights are rotating call; weekend call is on a voluntary basis.             

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing care that is team oriented.

Interested candidates should have the following:

• Board Certification required
• NYS licensure
• DEA required
• Previous experience is preferred but new or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
