The Division of Pediatrics at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital is looking for a strong evidence-based physician to join our growing Pediatrics Hospitalist Program. As our inpatient service grows, we are looking to add a team member with outstanding clinical, analytical and communication skills, to provide continuity and expert care to our admitted patients.
The position will focus on providing inpatient care to patients at MD Anderson and supervision of Pediatric Residents on the team in an environment that fosters learning, quality improvement and research in academic medicine.
The candidate will participate in the development of clinical research studies and will be responsible for new patient evaluations, initiation of appropriate referrals, and follow-up as appropriate. The candidate will also be expected to lead/participate in QAPI projects. Clinical procedures practiced will encompass those pertinent in delivering standard care to the patient.
The candidate must have completed a medical degree (MD/DO) in an accredited medical school or equivalent. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatrics residency program. Candidates with a Med/Peds background, special interest in palliative and complex care, a special interest in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and those who want to be part of unit that provides continuity to our patients with oncologic diagnoses are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
