Pulmonary Associates of Stamford is one of the leading groups in Connecticut practicing a blend of Hospital/Office -based pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. We are currently looking for a new associate with pulmonary and critical care training to join our practice.
Pulmonary Associates of Stamford offers the full range of pulmonary, critical care, sleep, and allergy services. We staff a high intensity critical care unit with a dedicated intensivist program and are the sole providers of an inpatient pulmonary consultation service at our affiliated hospital. We have a large outpatient pulmonary practice with an active clinical trials program, pulmonary rehabilitation program, and interventional bronchoscopy service.
Our sleep center is a 4-bed facility that is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. We care for children as well as adults and treat a wide array of sleep disorders. We are averaging 1700 sleep tests a year. Currently, two members of our group are board-certified in Sleep Medicine.
Our eight physicians were all trained at excellent institutions including: Yale, Cornell, Duke, Boston University, Mount Sinai, Harvard, Tufts and University of Pennsylvania. All members of our group are board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and critical care medicine. Additionally, some members are board-certified in Sleep Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, Hospice/Palliative Care Medicine, Interventional Pulmonary and Pediatrics.
Stamford Hospital is a major teaching hospital for Columbia University and Quinnipiac University and boasts in-house residency training programs in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery and Ob-Gyn. Our members are all actively involved in medical student and graduate medical education. Opportunity is available for faculty appointment.
The position is a partnership track opportunity with 1/8 call. Vacation / CME time begins at 6 weeks and each year there is an additional week added until you have 9 weeks! Our work week is 4½ days long. The Stamford area is on the Long Island Sound, 50 minutes from N.Y.C. and is an excellent place to live and raise a family. Please contact Dr. Dominic Roca at droca@stamhealth.org and include your C.V.
