For 25 years our practice has served families in a shared-decision making style aligned with the Midwives Model of Care. We conduct ourselves in a manner that promotes quality service to our clients and contributes to a spirit of collaboration with our fabulous community of health care professionals. We strive to maintain a sustainable practice that nourishes each staff member. We strive to provide our clients with the highest quality of individualized care to empower families to be active participants in their health care. In keeping with sustainability, we limit our annual OB caseload to 216 (18 births per month). This translates to midwives attending an average of 4-5 births per month, as the caseload and clinic/call schedules are shared with ample time off.
Boise is a growing city with big energy. The people are friendly and the climate is mild with an average of 210 days of sunshine each year. Cultural and recreational opportunities are abundant and the quality of life here is second to none. We are situated where the high desert meets the western edge of the Rocky Mountains, creating a gateway to world famous white-water rafting, skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, backpacking and camping. Hiking, biking, walking and running are popular activities right in the metro area with miles of greenbelt along the Boise River and nearby trails in the Boise foothills.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a Certified Nurse Midwife able to practice full-scope nurse-midwifery care and who is aligned with our mission statement, values, and guiding principles. We are looking for a candidate that places a high value on health, safety, and the team and client experience. The ideal candidate will have a heart for out-of-hospital birth and will feel comfortable with newborn care and TOLAC (1C).
