The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics, seeks candidates for a full-time position as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Division of Clinical Behavioral Neuroscience as a Pediatric Neuropsychologist.
Position Highlights:
- Maintain a clinical practice through UMPhysicians to include evaluating children with medical/neurological, neuropsychiatric, and neuro-developmental disorders.
- Participate in the training of pre-doctoral externs, interns, and our APPCN postdoctoral training program.
- Maintain active involvement in research, including participation in grants and manuscript publication.
- Participate in service activities on behalf of the Department and Medical School when applicable.
About the Division
The Division of Clinical Behavioral Neuroscience is comprised of four clinical sections and non-clinical researchers. The four clinical sections include:
- Pediatric Neuropsychology
- Pediatric Psychology
- Autism and Neuro-development Disorders
- Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics
Our faculty is committed to research that will help advance understanding of normal and abnormal brain function. Often this research involves collaborations with faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics, Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain, and other areas of the University.
About the Department
The Department of Pediatrics strives to improve the lives of children in our community, nation, and world through research, service, education, and advocacy. With over 25 training programs across a myriad of specialties and professions, we are committed to comprehensive and interdisciplinary training for our students, interns, residents, and fellows. Our research builds on more than 100 years of pioneering breakthroughs, including the first successful pediatric blood and marrow transplant, the first infant heart transplant in Minnesota, and the first pediatric cochlear ear implant surgery. We rank 13th in funding from the National Institutes of Health among Departments of Pediatrics, underscoring our role as a leader in children's health.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- A Ph.D./PsyD in clinical, school or counseling psychology from an APA and/or CPA accredited program.
- Internship training and a minimum two-year postdoctoral training in Pediatric Neuropsychology.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Minnesota
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
