Research Assistant I - Dermatology
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results. Assist in general research operations. May have direct patient/project participant contact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consenting patients in studies
- Keeping research data (including IRB documents, consents, and clinical data) organized
- Refining and enforcing team data management guidelines
- Developing and performing optimal clinical and smartphone photography protocols,
- Teaching subjects to send high quality smartphone photos
- Creating REDCAP databases
- Self-initiated investigations of medical center resources to support research
- Working out imaging informatics privacy and information security details with respective offices in the medical center
- Organizing calls with internal and external collaborating teams
- Recording correspondences with biostatisticians and other collaborators
- Analyzing research data (depending on comfort with quantitative science)
- Preparing scientific publications (depending on written communication aptitude)
