Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking Pediatric Hospitalists to join our experienced and energetic team of regional providers. Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalists are needed at:
Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio
Genesis HealthCare in Zanesville, Ohio
Mercy St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio
Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio
Hospitalists working at these locations are employees of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Full-time (eight or nine 24 hour shifts per month depending on location) and part-time positions are available. Responsibilities of the Pediatric Hospitalist include attendance at high-risk deliveries & C-sections, admissions, and daily rounding on Special Care Nursery (level II), and well-baby (mother/infant) units. Daily rounding on pediatric inpatient unit and general pediatric Emergency Department consultations for admissions and/or transfers. Procedures would include, but are not limited to, intubation, surfactant administration, insertion of umbilical lines, circumcisions, chest tube/needle decompressions, and neonatal resuscitation.
Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, NRP & PALS certified, patient-centered, and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric care. Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is not required. The position offers a competitive salary, a generous sign-on bonus and excellent benefits package.
The program provides comprehensive onboarding that will include neonatal simulation time, 4 – 6 weeks of proctored shifts with hospitalists at regional sites, and ongoing education in the skills and procedures required for this position.
