The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Department of Neurology is growing! We're looking build upon its strong foundation and seeking a motivated leader to join the business administrative leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Administrative Officer will work collaboratively with department leadership, faculty & academic department leaders, and VU/VUMC central offices to achieve excellence in operational quality, compliance, safety, and efficiency by coordinating fiscal (budget and payroll oversight) and personnel (workforce planning, HR performance) activities; policy compliance; space management; resource acquisition and management; and business planning.
The Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is a leader in clinical care, education and research. The Department has over 240 staff and 112 faculty/clinicians across ten divisions. The Administrative Officer of Operations will partner with the Chief Business Officer to further build an infrastructure that enables and supports the Department's faculty and staff. The AO will be required to gather, assimilate, and synthesize the appropriate data to enable leaders within the Department to make well informed decisions. A strong foundational knowledge in finance, human resources, and personnel management is highly desired. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who possess prior experience in academic medicine with annual budgets, personnel management, proficiency with MS Office at an intermediate or advance level, and/or Workday software.
POSITION: Full-Time, Exempt, Remote Hybrid-1 day per week onsite minimum
