Marcus Autism Center, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University, Department of Pediatrics are conducting a search for an outstanding child psychiatrist with specialization in the field of autism and related developmental disabilities to provide clinical care, research support and clinical training in Atlanta, Georgia. This faculty member will join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including psychologists, social work care coordinators, BCBAs and Nurse Practitioners. Marcus Autism Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive centers of clinical care for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders in the country, with over 5,000 unique children and families served every year in a wide range of assessment and treatment programs. It is part of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the largest pediatric health systems in the country.

A child psychiatrist at the Marcus Autism Center will focus on providing clinical care in an outpatient setting, but will also have opportunities to support research and to provide supervision of allied clinicians and clinical training for students. This provider will also supervise medical support personnel and assume basic administrative oversight of this clinical area. The Center values excellence in patient-centered care and will be looking for a person who is successful in effectively communicating with patients, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities* Clinical care includes evaluation and comprehensive intervention planning, oversight of case management for patients, leadership of clinical teams, and supervision of trainees.* Clinics to be held at Marcus Autism Center, with the potential to spend some time at related facilities of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.* Participation in a model of care that is organized according to the needs of children and families, and is seamlessly coordinated with internal and community-based professionals comprising the relevant constellation of services across the specialties of psychiatry, psychology, social work and other disciplines. * Demonstrate a pattern of excellence in clinical care.* Education of pre-doctoral interns, post-doctoral fellows, medical residents, and students in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, medicine and other health-related professions during usual conduct of care.* Participation at team conferences and meetings
