Main Pediatrics is seeking a BC/BE Pediatrician with a clear path to partnership and ownership.

Main Pediatrics is a thriving pediatric practice located on Main Street in Buffalo, New York.  Our mission is to provide respectful quality pediatric care to the children and families of the Buffalo community.   Founded and focused for the benefit of the unique and diverse local urban population, Main Pediatrics remains a respected partner in both the medical community and the community at large.

History:  Initially founded by Dr. Lydia T. Wright in 1952 on Jefferson Ave., it was subsequently transformed into Main Pediatrics and moved to Main St. under the leadership of Dr. Leslie Clapp.  Recognizing the need to align and partner with other pediatricians who shared the same goals, in 2022 Main Pediatrics became an equal division of a physician owned pediatric supergroup, Medical Health Associates of Western New York (www.mhawny.com).  This collaboration allows providers and staff to focus on caring for patients while maintaining its individual office culture.

Main Pediatrics presently serves about 5,000 children within its practice.  It is a NCQA certified PCMH.  Our embracing of innovative programs such as Healthy Steps, Reach Out and Read and an integrated Licensed Mental Health Worker reflects the practice’s commitment to the social emotional needs of our families as well as their medical needs.  Committed to developing young medical professionals, Main Pediatrics regularly serves as a teaching site for several educational partner institutions.

Main Pediatrics is located in North Buffalo; in close proximity to Oishei Children’s Hospital and the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Science. We have a collaborative relationship with both institutions. North Buffalo has a diverse and vibrant culture, with a broad socioeconomic blend. The city of Buffalo is known for its revitalization in the last 10 years, affordable housing and it’s friendly residents.
