Geisinger campuses in Danville, Wilkes Barre, and Scranton were recently certified as the first three Comprehensive Heart Attack Centers in the United States through The Joint Commission of Health and the American Heart Association.Job DutiesSystem-wide, Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute has 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons as well as 82 Advanced Practitioners. Services are provided at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville, PA; The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Geisinger – Community Medical Center (G-CMC) in Scranton, PA
