Neonatal APP Per Diem for UNCPN UNC Wayne Goldsboro, NC

UNCPN Neonatal Unit at UNC Wayne are seeking per diem APPs (NP or PA) to help cover our Neonatal Unit.

The Community: Explore Goldsboro, NC

Schedule: (Two or more shifts a month)

Responsibilities:

• Serving as the primary caregiver to newborn infants in the Level 2 NICU.
• Assessing, diagnosing, and carrying out procedures in the care of at-risk newborn infants.
• Designing treatment plans for infants with complex health issues including preparing for transferring to a local Level 3 NICU
• Prescribing medication on your own authority and with the agreement of the NICU physician.
• Educating and supporting parents and guardians in the care of their newborn infants.
• Ordering and performing medical tests and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA school
• L &D, Nursery or Pediatric experienced required
• NRP and PALS required
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner preferred
• North Carolina NP or PA license required
• New Grad Neonatal Nurse Practitioners are welcome to apply
• Pediatric Physician oversight (Will require working independently the majority of the time)
