Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine are seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist with additional expertise or training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology. This position includes an academic appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The CHOP Cardiac Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive pediatric cardiac programs in the U.S. and one of the premier centers in the world for treating single ventricle heart defects and performing lymphatic imaging and interventions. The Cardiac Center has a proud history of innovative clinical care, ground-breaking scientific discovery, and cutting-edge translational research that advances the care of patients with complex congenital and acquired heart disease. The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine has productive, internationally renowned academic programs in resuscitation science, neurocritical care anesthesia, simulation, ultrasound, airway, international medicine, lung injury, bioinformatics, and perioperative outcomes. Each year, the cardiac anesthesiology team provides anesthesia services to more than 900 cardiac surgeries, including heart and lung transplantation, as well as over 2,000 cardiac catheterization and cardiac imaging procedures. The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine also offers clinical fellowships in pediatric anesthesiology, pediatric cardiac anesthesiology, pediatric critical care medicine, pediatric cardiac critical care medicine, and neurocritical care.
