Pediatrix/MEDNAX National Medical Group is looking for a neonatologist to join our team at our well-established practice at The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart,in Pensacola, Florida. The Studer Family Children's Hospital NICU is the only hospital in the Florida panhandle that is part of Florida's statewide Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center Network.
Providing high-quality, compassionate health care to children in northwest Florida for the past 22 years
The brand new Children's Hospital opened in May, 2019 and includes an all private room, busy 42-bed Level-III (a Level-IV by AAP standards, Level-III by Florida standards) and a 30-bed Level-II
Team consists of 6 neonatologists and 9 NNPs
Average daily census of 57 with over 1,200 annual NICU admissions
Full pediatric subspecialty support in the hospital, with the ability to perform whole body cooling and complex surgeries (no ECMO or congenital heart surgery)
Sacred Heart has University of Florida residency programs in pediatrics, OB/GYN, and internal medicine
Clinical research as well as teaching residents, medical students and advanced practitioner students is part of our mission
